Transfer Scooter
Did you just buy or get a scooter from someone. Then you must always transfer to the new owner in that transaction. To get yours, you have to follow the following steps.
You ask the seller of the vehicle
The original registration certificate (Part 1B) and the transfer certificate from the old owner.
The registration certificate in credit card format (vehicle registration card) and registration code.
Take the required documents to the registration desk or RDW counter. Note: never forget to bring your valid ID.
You should then pay the registration fee this has become €10.40 since 2020.
The clerk will then give you a registration report and release certificate, from then on you are fully liable for the scooter. The RDW will then send the new registration card and the second part of the registration code your way the next day.
Scooter online transfer
Do you want to transfer your scooter online? That is possible, we will take you through all the steps to easily transfer your scooter. When transferring, you will first need to have a digID. If you do not have a digID, we request you to create one first.
If you have already created a digID, then we can get started.
Then go to the RDW site you would then click on "vehicle transfer" should press.
If all goes well, you should then log in with digID. You should then follow all the instructions on your screen.
You will then have to pay the registration fee (iDEAL).
You will then chronologically receive three emails. The first mail will be a confirmation of your request. In the second mail you will receive,it will say that you scooter has been transferred. This means that you are fully liable for the scooter until that moment.
In the third and final mail, you will receive the registration report (for yourself) and the release certificate (for new owner).
